About the Business Center

The Rakiraki Business Incubation Center, originally established in 2006, focuses on initiating SMALL BUSINESES within urban centers and outreached to rural settlements and villages based on VITUAL BUSINESS INCUBATION CENTER CONCEPT throughout Ra Province. The center was re-launched as a pilot project with a single sector approach in 2008 to focus on beekeeping and honey production as the foundation of their efforts. With the successful implementation of over 500 bee hives the center has now broadened their development programs to include cash crops and eco-tourism.

The Business Incubation Center is a branch of the National Center for Small and Micro Enterprise Development

(NCSMED) which is madated by legislation to develop, promote and support small and micro-enterprises (SMEs).
